The Annual Campaign is the cornerstone of The Community School’s financial foundation. It is how contributors from all backgrounds, from modest means to financially comfortable, assure that our students continue to have the opportunity to receive a rigorous academic education, improve their lives, and find success. Contributions to this campaign have ranged from $5.00 to $5,000 and every donation counts.

Newsflash 1/2/08 The Abell Foundation announced a grant award to the school for general support and to help initiate an Adult Education Program. Thanks to Bob Embry, Bonnie Legro, and the Board of The Abell Foundation for your continued confidence in The Community School.
Newsflash 1/15/08 The students were visited by Brooke Hodges today from Bank of America at the invitation of Advisory Board member Peggy Lashbrook. Brooke and Peggy observed health class and joined in a spirited discussion about different types of families. Brooke was involved in the nomination of Tom Culotta for a Bank of America Local Hero Award this past October.
Newsflash 1/27/08 The Development Committee , chaired by Peggy Lashbrook, met this afternoon to finalize plans for the Annual Campaign mailing. The mailing will be sent in February to all of our supporters.
Newsflash 1/27/08 Students, Sponsors, friends and families all joined together for our Midwinter Potluck Dinner. The building was overflowing with great food and conversation. A good time was had by all at this prescription for cabin fever.
Newsflash 1/30/08 Advisory Board member Sherry Welch brought special guest Eliza Graham to the school today. Ms. Graham is active in youth and civic programs around Baltimore. They were joined by Dave Rimbach, a longtime friend of the school and former pastor of Hampden United Methodist Church. Sherry, Eliza and Dave observed a health class and then joined in discussion where each of the students shared their goals and dreams for the future.
Newsflash 1/31/08 There was a lively Advisory Board Meeting at the school tonight. The meeting was convened by Chairperson Paul Coates, with Ken Bancroft, Peggy Lashbrook, Tom Iacoboni, Felix Dialioso, Carol Berman, Chris Mazzulli, Tony Culotta, Jim Riley, and Tom Culotta attending. In addition to regular business the Board discussed the Annual Campaign and work on the building.
