Students Receiving Honors at Closing Ceremonies

Newsflash 6/4/07 The students enjoyed their final field trip of the year with a day on the Severn River. We were hosted at “The Beach House” by Gordy & Debbie Loetz, who were the best social directors you could ever find, and three of their children, Carter, Chris & Chase, were on hand to show the students a good time as well. The students went fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating, tubing, along with other land based activities. You can view some photos of the event by Clicking Here. The food was plentiful starting with cold cut platters provided by Ken & Paulette Bancroft and ending with a cookout on the grill with our guest chef, Jessie Russo, and some great dessert from Jackie Bancroft. Diane Neighoff helped with the planning and was on hand to assure a smooth day. Joe Palank, and Matt Bancroft also pitched in to make sure that the students had the time of their lives. Even a neighbor, Mr. Fred Jackson, joined in by lending the students his paddle boat and his dog Termite. Thanks also go to Dave Bayer, Gina Watt, Justin Switzer, and Cheryl Rauscher and to everyone that made this a truly memorable experience!

Newsflash 6/6/07 Advisory Board member Carol Berman dropped by the school today and brought a check from St. John’s of Baltimore City United Methodist Congregation. The grant was made through the Sally Kearsley Scholarship Fund to help sustain the opportunity for our young people to get an education here at the school. This is the 4th year in a row that St. John’s has made a substantial investment in our students. Thank you Carol and everyone at St. John’s!
